Cheap pathetic laptop

I bought a Rog Strix G16 last year. Warranty expired 2 months ago. Last night my laptop was well and good. I slept woke up today morning and it was not turning on. I connected the charger, it was not showing any charging indicator and no signs of life. I took it to local repair shop and they said charger is fine.

They advised to take it to service center but are afraid my motherboard is fried. How cheap of a laptop for its motherboard to get fried in one year? There was no water damage nothing. I used my laptop closed the lid and next morning motherboard it fried?

I hate asus. Regret buying it so much. Will get this repaired and sell it asap.
