Resources to help with my current job?

Hey so I am a business development manager. Basically, I go to businesses and inform them of my company and try and form bonds so that when they need our services, we are the people they go with.

I am having trouble finding resources for this kind of work. Everything is about selling and I am technically not selling anything. I’m more spreading the word and forming a bond to stay relevant for when something comes up.

Any resources you guys would recommend to help me improve at my current job?
