Don’t be disheartened with VO2 max readings
Tons of posts right now about VO2 max and how to improve it. I’ve seen many people say it’s wildly off and I’d say that is accurate for sure.
I’d consider myself very athletic where I run half marathons and trail races very often sometimes every 2 weeks. I’ll be venturing into ultramarathons this summer with a couple of 50K and 50mi scheduled. My VO2 max when I first bought an AW back in 2018 was 48.9 and there is no comparison to my fitness level then to now. I’m night and day more fit now. My VO2 max is now down to 34.9 on my latest run today.
I purchased Polar H10 HRM and just did the Fitness Test and my VO2 max checked in at elite at 54.
