moving from texas to chicago, where can we look?

Welp. We're here. After the elections my partner and I are looking to relocate to the Chicago, IL area with their job. Both queer, I myself a queer trans man.

Looking for any advice or information or where to look for housing. Looking to stay under 300k - we have 4 cars, so ideally a garage. Pet friendly areas.
