What exactly is the software update?

Hi all, I just got my A1 printer about 3 weeks ago. I’m very very new to 3D printing and so far I have been printing off the app for little things and importing STL files into the BambuLab studio and printing from there.

I’m still new so forgive me if I get anything wrong, but I have three main questions;

1. What exactly is this software update preventing / stopping from happen in the future?

2. Does this affect me now?

3. If no, will it affect me in the future?
