Disputing late car payment
Hi all,
I am in a bit of a bind and pretty stressed out. I have never paid late on any credit cards or loans, almost always paying in full and on time.
I missed a payment on my car loan, It was over 30 days and it was reported to the credit bureau. As a result my score dropped over 110 points! I have since paid in full the payment I missed and the next month's payment and I am caught up on the loan. I am wondering if an adjustment will be made now that I am back to paying on time?
My largest concern is the long term effect this will have on my credit score. I am sick thinking about this staying on my credit report for 7 years as I am planning on buying a house in the next two years and this could be a major issue. Any advice for getting this removed from my credit score?
thank you
- Capitol one card $10K limit, and Car loan
- Last payment date - 1/6
- Date of last delinquency (this will determine when it falls off your report) - December 2020
- Payment status (pays as agreed, sold to collections, etc) - I am current with all payments now.
- Estimation of # of lates (30, 60, 90, 120+) - 1 (30 days)
- This is a Vantage score
