Milk Chocolate vs Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chunk

I love Crumbl’s milk chocolate cookie with its soft chew and slight crisp edges, and was excited to try the semi-sweet chocolate chunk, especially with the sea salt, for the first time. I found that cookie texture more cakey than the regular milk chocolate, which I did not enjoy? Does anyone else find the semi-sweet more cakey in texture or should I give it another chance when it could’ve been a bad day?
