Pinnable button stuck in Washing Machine drainage reservoir

I have a pinnable button (thanks kids) that is stuck in the tank between where you remove the front filter on the front-load washing machine and where the water comes from.

The issue is, under the right conditions it fully becomes a seal for the drainage. I can see it clearly, and i rigged a few things around it, the issue is that its too big to extract through the hole it can effectively seal. Think of trying to get a quarter out of a soda can.

How can i fix this, in a way that doesnt involve getting a tech out here to remove the tank from the bottom to get it out? I was considering a wire-saw that i can feed around it and try to work it to cut it in half. Im not sure if there are any shears of any type that could fit in there and get enough leverage to cut it in half.

Im pretty sure that the only way to get it out without removing that tank and making it a larger project would be bending it or cutting it. Would love some tips or custom tools you'd recommend.
