Rory demanding a job at Eagle Gazette

Can we talk about what a paradox the whole storyline with Mitchum was? The way he told Rory she doesn’t have what it takes to be a journalist was definitely rude but he had a point. In the “real” world, you have to step outside of your comfort zone in order to make things happen.

I understand Rory gets upset but after couple of months she actually follows his “advice” and demands a job at a newspaper where she is explicitly told they aren’t looking for someone. I wish we got more scenes at the Gazette after that. Now that I think of it, it’s never mentioned again after she gets the job right?
