Biden's Transgender Day of Visibility proclamation on Easter is 'a thumb in the face of Christians' why do people think this is new?
International Transgender Day of Visibility (often referred to as TDOV or Trans Day of Visibility) is an annual event occurring every March 31 since 2009[1][2] dedicated to celebrating transgender people and raising awareness of discrimination faced by transgender people worldwide, as well as a celebration of their contributions to society. The first International Transgender Day of Visibility was held on March 31, 2009. It has since been spearheaded by the U.S.-based youth advocacy organization Trans Student Educational Resources.[3] Also Easter doesn't occur on the same day each year. As a moveable feast,[1][2] the date of Easter is determined in each year through a calculation known as computus (Latin for 'computation').[3] Easter is celebrated on the first Sunday after the Paschal full moon, which is the first full moon on or after 21 March (a fixed approximation of the March equinox). Determining this date in advance requires a correlation between the lunar months and the solar year, while also accounting for the month, date, and weekday of the Julian or Gregorian calendar.[4] The complexity of the algorithm arises because of the desire to associate the date of Easter with the date of the Jewish feast of Passover which, Christians believe, is when Jesus was crucified.[5]
I keep seeing posts about this and I'm very confused as to why people think this is a new thing and do Christians really not understand the Easter moves. I mostly seen this in conservative subs and most conservatives seem to be Christian but they don't understand that Easter is a movable holiday. Can anybody shed some light on my confusion?
