What am I missing about rushing my SOI?

This is going to be my 2nd semester in a row showing interest in my SOI. Both semesters they threw one general event during rush week and then silence. I check their Instagram religiously but they never have any updates and I never see more events, but they have a new line. What am I missing? Am I just not being chosen? They don’t collect resumes or have us apply anywhere, just the RSVP for the event then silence. Are they contacting people? Am I expected to reach out to them? Please help, what is going on?
