Boots for EMS??

Basically the title. I have a pair of relatively cheap wildland boots that were issued to me, but are kind of uncomfortable to wear for ems duties. I have rewards for REI, so I was thinking of purchasing the Danner Bull Run chelseas. Are those appropriate for the job, or should I stick to what I got?
