Should I start a new game?

Hi all!

I saw in twitter and game news sites that No Mans Sky got a huge update and I haven’t played in about a year I’d say.

When I last played I had a freighter and about 3 starships. It wasn’t anything special. I think some player donated some parts to me in the anomaly and I sold them for a lot.

My question is, should I start over? I have a freighter and ships but I can’t really remember how to play. I think replaying the tutorial would benefit me and with a new update might better.

I’m still a relatively new player but only got the game back (long story don’t ask) and want to play again so I’d love your opinions!

I also know it doesn’t REALLY matter as I can continue where I left off and pick it up but what would you guys say?
