Getting into contracting
I’m sure there are about 12 million posts about this so my apologies in advance. I want to get into I&C and eventually want to work at a nuclear power plant. After I get my associates degree I want to do outage work for bhi energy, day and Zimmerman or one of the contractors. Problem is I have gone on their websites and have no clue where to start, the websites are kind of confusing. Could just be me though. So how would I go about getting into contract work, and would it give me the competitive edge for a permanent job at a plant? Also the closest plant to me is cooper nuclear station, didn’t know if anyone had any experience there.
