Democrats going forward
It's interesting to me to see how Democrats have been absolutely pummeled in last 10 years to the point that we are a unquestionably a red state. I truly think being reactive and attacking conservatives is a played out idea. It hasn't worked. It doesn't get votes. Scolding and shaming and the idea of opposing Trump more is doomed for failure. Cohesive messaging and a focus on actually getting votes is the only way to make this a competitive state again. It's amazing to me to think that there's some way that they could oppose Trump more. After their 2024 defeat, Democrats can refine their message by focusing on key priorities rather than just opposing Trump:
Here's the only way. That might make it competitive again rather than so one sided 1. Prioritize Economic Issues – Address affordability, job creation, and financial security to appeal to all working- and middle-class voters.
Develop Clear Policy Solutions – Focus on healthcare, education, with proactive, easy-to-understand proposals.
Strengthen Community Engagement – Build trust through direct outreach and consistent presence in local communities.
Reframe Messaging – Communicate policies in ways that connect with everyday life, for all people ,avoiding abstract political rhetoric.Avoid a focus on special groups and instead focus on the idea of a big tent
This approach could help unify the party and offer a compelling vision for the future that might be able to compete with Republicans again
