Threw out my scale! Anyone else?
I am OUT OF SCALE PRISON! A few years ago I threw out my scale. Just got up at 10:30 at night, went in the bathroom and picked up that thing, marched it out to the garbage can and never looked back. I did panic and go through a major adjustment period.
Coming from a lifetime weighing myself I found it really difficult to adjust. What a mind f not knowing how much I weigh anymore! I realized how much it controlled how I valued myself. If I was too heavy it would ruin my day. I’ve healed since.
It’s been a freeing and a relief being out of the prison. Now I just focus on habits- 10,000 steps per day, a beach body work out each day, Whole Foods for longevity. I do kind of an 80/20 so I can indulge when I want. I dropped from an 8 to a 6 - which is now loose on me and headed towards a size 4.
Would love to hear if anyone else has done this and had any success! I want to keep taking it to the next level fitness wise. So I think I’ll just keep setting fitness goals? 🤷🏼♀️ like push up goals or distance goals. Would love to hear other’s thoughts on this!
