Ian flynn writting

Legit, how many of you think Ian is doing a good job with the writting? I favor sonic's more unleashed characterization where his actions speak for him, and he's not afraid to be a impulsive because he knows in his heart he's doing the right thing. (I know Evan Stanley worte the riders arc) That's one reason I really like the riders arc in the IDW but I feel like his Archie influence is seeping through. I get why people might like it but that's not what I think of when game sonic comes to mind.

Another thing that kind of bothers me are the references, I get that frontires was meant to reestablish sonic, amy, tails, knuckles, and eggman's characterizations since the 2010's games failed to do that but when I look at sonic in frontires and look at how he was in unleashed and 06. I have a hard time believing they are the same character. And it really hit me when playing shadow gens. The one cutscene they share in shadow's campaign is them both of them saying references before they fight on the ark. And like, yeah it's kind of cute but at the same I feel like Ian could have done better, I don't even think the "its a celebration game" is a valid excuse since that's not how sonic acted in the orginal game or the rewrite. I hope sonic team and Ian take the criticisms to heart since I feel like changing one thing would improve alot
