Toowoomba Buses

I've just moved to Toowoomba recently and am a bit confused by the website/app for the buses around here compared to NSW. The website says that the go card isn't available in Toowoomba and that due to covid restrictions they aren't accepting cash on the buses, so how do you pay? In NSW I either loaded up my opal card on the app and tapped on or just tapped my debit card at the same point on the bus. Obviously I would prefer to pay by card but if I have to get used to having cash on me again I could adjust. Can anyone explain how you actually use the buses around here? ;;
