2024 Highlander Platinum interior

We are getting rid of our Mazda CX5 and seriously considering a Highlander as our next vehicle.

We test drove one with platinum trim yesterday, but I really hated the interior. There were so many different finishes, and I thought it looked cheap. Also, the dealer told us it had the “black” leather seats, but they looked dark grey.

Can anyone speak to whether the black platinum interior is actually a true, deep black or not? And is there any reason to believe that the 2025 will have nicer inside trim?
