Uni not allowing module change?

It’s currently the start of week 3 and I have recently had some caring responsibilities sprung onto me which makes it very hard for me to complete this module due to the amount of time I need to spend on campus computers and the day of the lecture and seminar. I’ve emailed my department and I feel like they’re not even taking into consideration that this situation wasn’t planned and I just keep getting told “I am unable to make any changes as the module change form closed two weeks ago” (which was literally the first week of term btw.

The person literally just said speak to the module leader and see how they can support you but I can’t change it as the deadline has passed. I don’t see how I can get supported I can literally only attend the weekly lecture for this module and not the seminar (the most important part) and don’t have the required systems at home to be able to complete the work.

What do I do from here? Do I speak to someone in person?
