Alojamento nas Residências / Accomodation in Residences

Olà! Hi everyone, I'm an italian student who just won the Erasmus to your beautiful city! I have a few questions regarding the accomodation plan.

First off, if anyone on here is living in one of the residences or lived there in the past, feel free to comment or slide into my dm's with all the info you'd like to share! I'd really appreciate it :)

Secondly, I know we have to apply for a place, and since they are currently not open for applications, my questions are : is it easy to get a place? Can we submit multiple residences (in hopes to have at least a plan b if we don't get chosen in our "favourite" one)? How does the common kitchen work (and I mean EVERYTHING about it... especially if people steal food ahahah)? Can you invite people over for the night (not all the time, obviously)? And in general, how is it to live there?
