Warriors: Clouded Sky: Book 1 The Beckoning: Prologue
A yellowish white tom walked up to a small clearing. "You took your time, Sunlight," a light brown tom said as he approached.
Sunlight suppressed a yawn. "Fernshade had greencough, she's fine now, thank Starclan. Are Hollowpelt or Bluepelt here yet, Quickbush?"
"Right here," The Riverclan and Windclan medicine cats walk up to the clearing. "And I brought someone," Hollypelt said.
A small dark brown tom walked up anxiously. "Hi, I'm Owlpaw," he said shyly.
Bluepelt suddenly halted. "Wait, where's Hollypaw, Quickbush?" she asked.
"She had to stay behind to treat some wounds," he continued. "Hollowpelt, are you going to present Owlpaw to Starclan or aren't you?"
"Alright, Starclan!" She called up. "I Bring you Owlpaw, my apprentice, and pray you accept him as you once accepted me."
"Owlpaw! Owlpaw!" the medicine cats canted. Owlpaw licked his chest in embarrassment
Sunlight ran into the cave and called back. "Quickly, we are wasting moonlight!" The rest of them followed him in the a cave with a huge stone in the middle of it.
Just as the moonlight hit the stone it lit up. Although Sunlight had been here countless times, he was still fill with wonder at the sight. "The Moonstone," Sunlight whispered. All the medicine cats touched their noses to the Moonstone, and they drifted to sleep.
Sunlight woke to a sunny clearing, an orange tom leaped down from a rock. "I am Thunderstar, The first Thunderclan leader," He continued. "and you are Sunlight, I assume?" The old Thunderclan leader asked.
Sunlight dipped his head. "Yes, that is me. Why have you called me here?"
"I'm here to give you a prophecy. When the clouds fog the sky, only the can see thorough the darkness." Thunderstar said, his starry pelt glimmering
Sunlight was confused. "What? What, does that mean? Tell me, please!" he begged
Sunlight got back to his camp. "Hey Sunlight, how was Moonstone?" Alderbranch, a red-brown tom guarding the camp, asked.
"It went great. Is Sandstar in her den?" Sunlight answered. Alderbranch nodded. "Thanks, see you later,"
"Ha, I win!"
"No, you didn't, I did!"
"Thats a fat rabbit, did you catch it Clearstorm?"
"No, Stonepaw did,"
Sunlight took in his clanmates chatter before walking in to Sandstar's den. Sandstar was sitting there talking to her deputy, Cloudclaw. "Sandstar, Starclan has given me a prophecy,"
