Home is an overprotective parent. (Theory)
I really wanted to share this theory, cause realisation hit my like a truck. I don't think anyone thought about this, but.. what if Home is a sort of perental figure to Wally, or at least it is supposed to represent one.
So, we all know that Home is the only living house in the neighborhood, and that Wally lives in it obviously. But i had an interesting thought pop into my head. Home seems to be always looking out for Wally, watching him and maybe even protecting him.
What if Home is supposed to represent overprotective parents, and Wally is a child who just wants to live a normal life and grow up already.
Home protects Wally, and they are possibly a reason why the episodes of the show were ending before it got dark. Parents usually tell us to come back home before it gets dark, so we listen to them and come back home. Home does not let us go outside the boundaries outside the neighborhood. In the poem about the house, it is mentioned that "Your house is a mirror of just who you are", children can be considered the mirrors of the parents and sometimes even the opposite. Home seems to be overprotective of Wally, and when Wally wants to go outside to play, or just look at the stars, Home sometimes does not let him. Maybe their excuse is something like "It's for your own good" or "i don't want something bad to happen to you".
Wally is trapped in an overbearing cage created by Home, Wally is unable to grow up and leave, making him feel dependant on Home for protection. Despite having friends, Wally is lonely and most of the time he probably spents inside his own house and him going outside to play is as rare as finding a four petaled clover.
His friends do not realise that he may be suffering, because Wally does not want to talk about his situation, or he is afraid to tell people how he truly feels, because he is afraid of getting punished or making Home mad. Wally still likes Home, but he is afraid of it and feels uncomfortable because he is constantly being watched by it. And he can't tell it to it's face, because who knows what Home will do if he will tell it about how he truly feels.
