Stick

For some reason, the empires in my world, which researched all possible tech available to them and can make absurdly powerful weapons, arm their soldiers with...Sticks? And no armor at all.

I thought this was because the empire lacked resources so I turned on the infinite resource by debug, but they still sticked on sticks.

Wha...Why? Is there some reason for this stick obsession of empires? Is it secretly more powerful than an adamantine armor?

I mean, shouldn't they at least give their soldiers some decent armor or something? Why only a stick? Am I doing something wrong? Or is this the way Maxim intended?
