Replace 20 year old Syncamore tree

Looking to replace this 20yrs old pair sycamore tree with a smaller tree pair .

My question : is it possible for a new tree to grow in its place after the grinding the stump or there won’t be enough place (depth)to put a 7-10 pot size tree . Will the new tree adapt in the place of old . Does red bud or teddy bear magnolia a better option for replacement .

Ps: the tree round will be demolished to stump grinding .
