What's needed for a longer term hospital tank?

Hi! I'm currently treating my boy for camallanus worms in a large rubbermaid with 10g of water, I've been treating him for about a week and a half and it looks like the worms are really clearing up, but I want to make sure I clean his tank ultra well before putting him back.

I'm a bit uneasy about it because I see a lot of conflicting info on how long the worms can live without a host, I've seen some say a few weeks and some say 3 months, so I was wondering what I should have in his hospital/quarantine tank to make it as comfy as possible in case he stays there that long?

It's very bare bones right now so I can keep an eye on everything, just a heater, sponge filter, and a pothos cutting he's fond of, but I worry that it being so empty is gonna stress him. I thought about putting a coffee mug in there for a hide but he's never really cared about them in any past tanks. Any ideas?
