Is it lunacy to try to ban pickups?

Obviously is horrible that a young child died but am i the only one that thinks trying to ban pickups or large vehicles is absolute lunacy. I've read the comments and to see what people are saying makes me feel the world is lost the way we're going. People just love to be negative and they just hate the world. This was a case of driver neglect after running a red light and failing to stop at a crossing. Open to criticism and feedback but I just think some people's views are crazy in this country
