Why does Africa have very few extreme weather events?

Considering it's the second biggest continent, why are there very few to non-existent events such as: Hurricanes, tsunami, tornadoes and earthquakes to name a few. The only extreme weather events that I know occur there are Droughts, Floods and at times dust storms.
