Anyone met the band? Thoughts?

How did you find each one?

I’m very lucky that when I was younger I met them all several times through backstage passes I was given, FC conventions & various signings. Probably a dozen times in the 90s/00s

To clarify they no doubt thought I was a real loser (I was!) so I’m glad nobody was horrible. Some however were certainly nicer than others.

Nicko - amazing. Genuinely looked pleased to see everyone and made each person feel very welcome.

Dave - not far from Nicko, just quieter. A real gent.

Steve - like Dave very quiet but extremely polite and friendly.

Blaze - outstanding. Chatty & always had time for everyone.

Janick- again quiet but very smiley and a nice, calm energy.

Adrian & Bruce - will lump them in together as very similar. Always seemed like this was a job to meet the fans rather than something they enjoyed (which I get but I never randomly stopped anyone. Each meet was an organised one so they were “on the clock”) Neither were horrible and would do photos, sign but they always made me feel like a bit of a nuisance.

(I also met Rod a couple of times who is so nice and always thanked the fans for coming along. Always seemed chuffed when anyone asked for a photo with him too!)

All in all though I’m so thankful for all of the times I met them and all of my signed memorabilia. I’m too old to go in for all that meet & greet stuff now but I certainly had fun at the time.
