Decorating Miraculous, possible?

I just had a thought!- it occured to me thag Marinette and Adrians parents never questioned the suspicious fact their children now suddenly have random piece of jewelry- I personally have parents who would immediately go, "where'd you get that ring?!-" So, hear me out, in some sort of situation one would have to, could they decorate a miraculous, like if its a ring, put a gem stone on it to make it look like something you already own?- I hope im making sense😭😭
