When they try to piss you off, but it actually makes your day!

My MIL-to-be is one of those who just shows up unannounced. She’ll just walk right into the house, too. I hate it, it’s weird, and I’ve told my fiancé countless times.

Yesterday, I pulled into the driveway after my long, grueling drive home from work. The absolute last thing I want to see is MIL, but as usual, here she is, two seconds after I get home. My fiancé wasn’t home yet. She took one look at me, and just backed right out of the driveway and left! I couldn’t stop smiling!!!

She ALWAYS has this insanely impeccable timing. The second you get home, the second you’re trying to leave for something (even if it’s always a different time). One time we had dinner reservations and she showed up as we were pulling out of the driveway (actually she somehow does this every time we’re going out) so we ignored her and left by driving across the grass. She didn’t talk to my fiancé for weeks after that. I could make another post entirely about how she is as a person (which is terrible).

But that move just made my day. You know she was trying to be rude. As if I was going to be heartbroken she didn’t stay to impose whatever BS on me.
