Holiday success
I just thought I’d post a little update on my experience with a couple of aspects.
I was coming up to my 5th jab since beginning this journey and going on holiday. I spent a great deal of time deciding whether to take my injection on holiday and in the end I decided to. I took my 2.5mg pen in an insulin injection case with the little ice packets. Gatwick security didn’t even ask for anything to be removed from hand luggage so I got it through no problem and it was still nice and cold when I got to the hotel some 20 hours later. I did the injection mid way through my holiday there. It did make me feel more nauseous and I also got constipated but I think this is because I wasn’t on my normal diet. The usual magnesium and some vitamin c tablets sorted me out eventually.
I ate pretty well whilst I was there. Definitely less than I usually would on an all inclusive but more than I was eating at home. I don’t feel like I missed out on anything. I still made sure I drank lots of water but did also have the occasional drink.
I weighed myself before and after and ended up losing 0.3kg. This brings my overall loss to 3.7kg over 5 weeks. Not ground breaking but it’s been steady and fairly consistent.
Looking forward to getting back on it now I am home.
I have done 3mg of the 5mg pen for my 6th jab. And am going to slowly titrate up.
Also for any fellow pcos sufferers my cycle was shorter with less symptoms this month which I have to attribute to mounjaro and eating less sugar. Great news!
Lastly on the way home cancun confiscated the ice packs. I didn’t have the pen in there anymore and forgot it was in my hand luggage so they were essentially melted water. The packaging doesn’t have the ml capacity on them which doesn’t help. Imagine it may have been a different story if the pen had been in there but I couldn’t be bothered waiting or arguing.
Hope that might be helpful to someone :)
