Do different scale modes stimulate different parts of the brain?
I'm trying to figure out the psychological reasoning behind why I like minor and exotic scale modes over major of jazzy modes. I know I relate to emotions that major scales are meant to portray like happiness and excitement, but If a song is too majorish it honestly just makes me feel iritated or like the music is shallow and superficial. Minor but especially the exotics like the hungarian scales or the middle eastern scales have always sounded deeper and more genuine. There must be some type of reason for this in my brain because I know I'm a minority and most people do enjoy the major scales
