How would Carmelo Anthony's legacy look like had he won ring?
If he won with the nuggets early in his career, the debate vs jokic on whos the better nugget wouldve been insanely close but I still say it would go to jokic. He probably wouldnt even go to the knicks anymore and stayed there. His rivalry with the guy from akron, ohio wouldve been even more fierce.
Had he waited to be a free agent and played with Wilson Chandler, Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, and Timofey Mozgov he might have won a championship with the knicks. He would be considered absolutely legendary to knicks fans bringing a championship home since 1973. He might even be considered the greatest knick of all time. I feel like this is the most meaningful championship and people wouldn’t say he “chose money over winning”.
If he won with okc (somehow he beat the warriors n cavs) the I ain’t coming off the bench meme would completely ceased and I feel like this would change his legacy A LOT and people's perception of him would completely change. He woulve been the guy who changed from being a selfish player to a team first player, and probably wouldve made him more liked.
What do you guys think?
