Laid off then rehired to old job, but still looking. When can I add it back to resume?

In July of last year I was laid off from my job due to financial cutbacks. After one of my former teammates recently resigned, I was asked back, to which I agreed primarily because I was still unemployed and needed income.

I'm still actively looking for other (better) positions, but am unsure of when to add my new stint back on the resume. On one hand, it seems like it would be beneficial for me to be employed in the eyes of other employers. On the other hand, I don't want to be seen as a flight risk as someone who is immediately planning to jet from a job after getting it back after a 7 month gap, albeit after working there 2.5 years to begin with. Am also slightly worried that leaving it off entirely could complicate things during any prospective employer verification i.e. "why did you 'lie' about not working there currently when you are employed there now?"

Any thoughts from any recruiters or HMs? Would it be appropriate to list the new dates from rehiring immediately, or leave it off until a certain point, or something else?
