One question I've had about season 2

Ok, so, as we all know, Seong Gi-hun won in Season 1, and still has a large sum of his money left over

The point of him being there in season 2 is to end the games, and he has made everybody else aware that he has won

So why wouldn't he just offer to pay the others debts to convince people to follow him in quitting the games, or at least offer money TOWARDS them?
