Am I allowed to wear my black Starbucks Reserve Apron at a core store as a rehire?

I'm not a coffee master but I have a black apron from a Reserve Bar location I used to work at 2 years ago. I left the company for a year and I had moved to a new city and joined the company once again working as a barista for a core store.

Upon being rehired, my store manager was having mixed feeling of me wearing a black apron because I'm not a coffee master. He didn't seem like he knew the exact answer as to whether if I'm allowed to wear my reserve apron as per policy so all he said was "maybe not" since i had also left the company for a year as well.

I've seen a borrowed or transfered partner wearing the reserve bar apron regularly, and I like the look of it simply because black is my favorite color and it just looks cool af.

For reference, this is me in the Reserve Apron, just to show how similar it is to the coffee master apron.

I know it may cause confusion to the customers but I miss wearing it so I want to find a way around it so I can wear it again.
