Fiction with complex characters?

Hey there-wondering if anyone has any suggestions for fiction books with a lot of character development/complex characters? I really like to get lost in characters. I really enjoy Toni Morrison, Margaret Atwood. Toni Morrison’s writing style is mesmerizing to me. I love dystopian fiction. Love fiction that really explores social issues and has the potential to challenge readers’ worldviews and assumptions, and readers’ perceptions/understanding of themselves…and as such can be really uncomfortable to read and process sometimes. Books that help me grow as a person. I don’t know if this is specific enough information to be helpful but if so I’d really appreciate any recommendations.
