Brother copier isn't working properly

Brother copier MFC-J6555DW, plenty of inc. Prints fine but the main copying function will copy the page and print it super light and hard to see. I print black and it always prints it out bad and weird and light. We've adjusted the contrast and did many print tests and narrowed it down that the printer itself is fine, and can print perfect prints but the main copying function is copying horrible and printing out the copies as light impossible to read. Help
