What’s Your Process of Bringing In New/Used Vinyl into Your Home?
I was curious what everyone’s process of bringing in new vinyl to your house. Do you do anything with it before it hits the TT?
Right now this is my general order
- Remove it from the paper sleeve and store the sleeve somewhere
- Run anti-static brush on it the record
- Apply a wet-wash to it, or maybe an ultrasonic cleaning
Once it’s dry and in no particular order
- Catalogue it in Discogs
- Replace the paper sleeve with an anti-static one
- Put the jacket it in an outer sleeve
- Enjoy the music
