Top 5 best regression stories
The regression trope is an overused idea. Nevertheless, some stories fulfill their purpose of entertaining. These are my recommendations:
- 🚌BACK TO YOU This is still the best regression story that I have read. The only one where the MC went back to the past, tried her best, failed, and moved on. 💯
- 📺 THE VIDEO GAME STORE UNDER THE BARBER SHOP This slice-of-life portrays the regression cliche so realistically. The character is confused at first when he goes to the past, next he doesn't know what to do, after that he tries his best, sometimes succeded but many times fails, and finally, he is a coward. Yet he learns how to stand up for himself in the present time and go on with his life.
- 🍷DEAR NEMESIS A female lead with her pros and cons, not a Mary Sue. A male lead that has a personality (is not just a simp) and his own agenda that does not revolve around FL. A good villain (if everybody hates him, is because he fulfills his purpose as a villain) 2 timelines happening at the same time (a refreshing element) The best that I've read in medieval fantasy times.
- LEVELING UP MY HUSBAND TO THE MAX" and **MY TIRANT HUSBAND HAS CHANGED These two are similar. They share the cons: FL is a Mary Sue and ML is a simp. But they also share the pros: FL shines for their competence, the allies are valuable people and the villains feel menacing.
