I have zero willpower but a lot to do - help!
I know this is a common experience but I'm really keen to hear how people manage this. I'm a manager leading a team doing some pretty important work. I travel for work (it sucks) and am away from home regularly.
I have zero willpower at work, and everyone looks to me to get things going - it feels like I'm pushing a rock up a hill though.
I've been told to eat and sleep more by my therapist (which I'm working on) but this feels deeper. I have to muster up a lot of energy just to get things started (let alone done).
Outside of work, I rarely do a lot. I paint a little when I am mentally able to, and spend time with my partner and cat (my true loves). I watch movies A LOT although focusing on this isn't easy.
How do you manage to push through when willpower is below zero? Does willpower/energy/motivation EVER come back? I don't want to operate like this for the rest of my life 😔 (like a car running on empty permanently)
