Teaching Fall semester of a course that’s offered in both semesters and summer. Can I modify the syllabus?
I am a lecturer and will be teaching a required upperclassman STEM class this Fall. This class is required for a few programs and is offered in the Fall, Spring, and Summer due to the high demand. It has been taught by different adjuncts but they seem to all follow the same syllabus.
I want to make some changes to the syllabus to include participation and professionalism in the grading, because these work well for my other classes. Can I do that? Or is it expected that the course should have the same syllabus regardless of the instructor/semester?
