Front-end field?

Hi, I'm a second year student at my university. We started front-end web developing (Html, CSS, Bootstrap, Javascript etc) and I've been more confident and successful in this course compared to our back-end (C# & Java) courses we started last year. I was figuratively banging my head against the wall and losing my mind when we got past the basic stuff, because I couldn't understand why my codes weren't working. I passed but not with good grades.

Front-end feels so much easier for me and (maybe it is in general..) I've been able understand what I'm doing which makes it more fun. Every time I'm doing assignments, it doesn't feel like work. When I make mistakes, I know where to look and I learn by fixing. I enjoy making visual designs, buttons and functions for a web page, for an app or anything like that.

I kind of want to focus on that path after I graduate. Not ditching back-end entirely because we've been told you need to understand both, no matter which side you work on. But I fear I won't get employed, because there are thousands of people better than me in that field. Also more in general compared to front-end, which makes sense since it's more difficult and people in that field are more appreciated.

TL;DR: Is it wise to choose a front-end career field in this modern day?
