guanfacine and middle of the night wake ups

Following to read what others say… My 5-year-old, also on guanfacine, wakes up several times throughout the night. He did this before we started the medication, but maybe not as often. How is your son’s temperament? My son is okay on a very small dosage just at night. We tried it to add another dose in the morning, but it seemed to make him so irritable.

Re his temperament: hard to say just yet. He had a total meltdown yesterday evening... but I am waiting to see if he was just tired that night (he had slept terribly the night before), or if this is something that will happen in the beginning of the meds, or if he is more irritable on it. He was largely great today though.
